This 25m aluminium patrol boat was built in Western Australia for the Tasmania Police Force. This was a great opportunity for Transocean Coatings products to shine. The applicator, being experienced in yacht paints, took great care during surface preparation and application to achieve a high grade finish. The TO2.19 Transpoxy Intermediate epoxy was sanded as part of the process to achieve the level of finishing the client expected. This extra step is not commonly seen in coating application for commercial shipping. Yacht-grade thinner (To 6.14) was specified to optimise the flow and sheen of the Transothane polyurethane topcoats.
